حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ رَأَى مَقْتَلَ حَمْزَةَ؟» قَالَ رَجُلٌ أَعَزَّكَ اللهُ أَنَا رَأَيْتُ مَقْتَلَهُ فَانْطَلَقَ فَوَقَفَ عَلَى حَمْزَةَ فَرَآهُ قَدْ شُقَّ بَطْنُهُ وَقَدْ مُثِّلَ بِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مُثِّلَ بِهِ فَكَرِهَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ وَوَقَفَ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيِ الْقَتْلَى وَقَالَ «أَنَا لِشَهِيدٌ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ لِفُّوهُمْ فِي دِمَائِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مَجْرُوحٌ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ إِلَّا جَاءَ جُرْحُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَدْمَى لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ الدَّمِ وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ الْمِسْكِ قَدِمُوا أَكْثَرَ الْقَوْمِ قُرْآنًا فَاجْعَلُوهُ فِي اللَّحْدِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Who saw the place where Hamzah was killed?” A man said, “May Allah honor you, I saw the place where he was killed.” So he went and stood over Hamzah and saw that his belly had been split open and he had been mutilated. He said, “O Messenger of Allah, he has been mutilated.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked to look at him, and he stood among the slain and said, “I am a witness over these. Wrap them in their blood, for there is no one wounded in the way of Allah but that his wound will come on the Day of Resurrection bleeding, its color the color of blood and its fragrance the fragrance of musk. Put forward the one who had memorized the most Qur’an and place him first in the grave niche.”
