حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

إِنَّ آخِرَ خُطْبَةٍ خَطَبْنَاهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ» إِنَّكُمْ قَدْ أَصْبَحْتُمْ تَزِيدُونَ وَإِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَدِ انْتَهَوْا وَإِنَّهُمْ عَيْبَتِي الَّتِي أَوَيْتُ إِلَيْهَا فَأَكْرِمُوا مُحْسِنَهُمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ

Translation

✧ Indeed the last sermon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ preached to us, he said: 'O company of the Muhajirun, you have begun to increase, while the Ansar have reached their limit. They are my close supporters to whom I have resorted, so honor their good-doers and overlook their wrongdoers.'
