حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ تَقَاضَى ابْنَ أَبِي حَدْرَدَ دَيْنًا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى ارْتَفَعَتْ أَصْوَاتُهُمَا حَتَّى سَمِعَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمَا فَتَكَشَّفَتْ سُحُفُ حُجْرَتِهِ حَتَّى رَأَى كَعْبًا فَقَالَ «يَا كَعْبُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ» قَالَ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «ضَعِ الشَّطْرَ مِنْ دَيْنِكِ هَذَا» قَالَ قَدْ وَضَعَتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «قُمْ فَاقْضِهِ»

✧ He reported to him that he requested Ibn Abi Hadrad to repay a debt he owed him at the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque, until their voices rose and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard them while he was in his house. He came out to them, and the curtains of his chamber were raised, and he saw Ka'b. He said: 'O Ka'b b. Malik.' He said: At your service, O Messenger of Allah. He said: 'Drop half of this debt of his.' He said: I have dropped it, O Messenger of Allah. He said: 'Get up and pay it.'
