حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ مُلَازِمٌ رَجُلًا فِي أُوقِيَّتَيْنِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِلرَّجُلِ «هَكَذَا اتَّضَعَ عَنِ الشَّطْرِ» فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ «أَدِّ إِلَيْهِ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ حَقِّهِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by him while he was detaining a man for two uqiyyahs (of silver), so the Prophet ﷺ said to the man: 'Will you reduce it by half?' The man said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: 'Then give him what remains of his due.'
