حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ قَالُوا ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَى عَلَى التُّجَّارِ وَهُمُ يُسَمَّوْنَ بِاسْمٍ غَيَّرَهُ قَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إِنَّكُمْ يَحْضُرُ بَيْعَكُمْ بِلَغْوٍ وَأَيْمَانٍ فَشُوبُوهَا بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ حَجَّاجٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to the merchants while they were called by a name that he changed. He said, “O company of merchants, indeed your selling is attended by idle talk and oaths, so mix it with some charity.” The wording is that of the hadith of Ḥajjāj.
