حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ثَعْلَبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْقُرَظِيُّ

أَنَّ قَيْسَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ لِوَاءِ رَسُولِ ﷺ أَرَادَ الْحَجَّ فَرَجَّلَ أَحَدَ شِقَّي رَأْسِهِ فَإِذَا هَدْيُهُ قَدْ قَلَّدَ فَأَهَلَّ وَحَلَّ شَقَّ الْأَخَرَ

✧ Qays b. Saʿd al-Anṣārī, who was the bearer of the Messenger of God's ﷺ standard, intended to perform the pilgrimage. He combed one side of his head, and then saw that his sacrificial animal had been garlanded, so he entered the state of iḥrām and left the other side uncombed.
