حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَرِيمَ بْنِ أَسْعَدَ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَقَدْ خَدَمَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَمَا أَنْسَى أَثَرَ أُصْبُعِهِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ لأَنَّهُمَا جَدِيدَانِ

Translation

✧ I was with Qays b. Saʿd, who had served the Prophet ﷺ for ten years. He performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks. I will never forget the trace of his finger on the socks, because they were new.
