حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ إِخْوَتِي عَنْ أَبِي عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ

أَنَّهُ أَتَى الْمَدِينَةَ فِي فِدَاءٍ وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُشْرِكٌ فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ فَقَرَأَ «بِالطُّورِ» فَكَأَنَّمَا صَدَعَ قَلْبِي قِرَاءَةُ الْقُرْآنِ

✧ He came to Madinah for the ransom of captives, and at that time he was a polytheist. He entered the mosque while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying Maghrib, and he recited “By the Mount” (Q 52), and it was as if the recitation of the Qur'an split my heart open.
