حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ دَعَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ إِلَى الطَّعَامِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ

عَبْدُ اللهِ «لَا تَصُمْ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قُرِّبَ إِلَيْهِ حِلَابٌ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَهُ فَلَا تَصُمْ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يُفْتَنُونَ بِكُمْ»

✧ ʿAbdullāh said: "Do not fast, for a milking vessel containing milk was brought near to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of ʿArafah, and he drank it. So do not fast, for the people are being tested by you."
