حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ اللهُ ﷻ وَلَا شَيْءَ غَيْرُهُ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ وَكَتَبَ فِي الذِّكْرِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ هُوَ كَائِنٌ ثُمَّ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ» وَقَالَ قَائِلٌ أَدْرِكْ نَاقَتَكَ فَقُمْتُ وَإِذَا السَّرَابُ تَنْقَطِعُ دُونَهَا فَلَيْتَهَا ذَهَبَتْ وَاسْتَوْعَبْتُ حَدِيثَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “God, Exalted is He, was, and there was nothing other than Him. His Throne was upon the water, and He wrote in the Reminder everything that is to be. Then He created the heavens.” A speaker said, “Catch up with your she-camel,” so I got up, and there was the mirage cutting off before it. Would that it had gone and I had fully grasped the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ.
