حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَابُلُتِّيُّ ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْمُهَلَّبِ حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِوَلِيِّهَا «أَحْسِنِ الْقِيَامَ عَلَيْهَا فَإِذَا وَضَعَتْ مَا فِي بَطْنِهَا فَائْتِنِي بِهَا» فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْ جَاءَ بِهَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَشُدَّتْ عَلَيْهَا ثِيَابُهَا فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَرُجِمَتْ ثُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ رَجَمْتَهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتَ عَلَيْهَا؟ فَقَالَ «لَقَدْ تَابَتْ تَوْبَةً لَوْ قُسِمَتْ بَيْنَ سَبْعِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَوَسِعَتْهُمْ وَهَلْ وَجَدْتَ مِنْ أَنْ جَادَتْ بِنَفْسِهَا لِلَّهِ ﷻ»

✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have incurred a prescribed punishment, so carry it out on me.” The Prophet ﷺ said to her guardian, “Take good care of her, and when she delivers what is in her womb bring her to me.” When she delivered, he brought her to the Prophet ﷺ. Her clothes were fastened around her, and he ordered that she be stoned, and she was stoned. Then he prayed over her. ʿUmar said, “O Messenger of Allah, you stoned her and then prayed over her?” He said, “She has repented with such a repentance that if it were divided among seventy of the people of Madinah it would suffice them. Have you found anything better than her offering her own self to Allah, Mighty and Exalted?”
