حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحِنَّائِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ قَالُوا ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةً مِنَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَغَضِبَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ «لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ لَا أُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ» ثُمَّ دَعَا مَمْلُوكِيهِ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

✧ A man from the Ansar freed six of his slaves at his death, having no property other than them. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he became angry about it and said, 'I have thought about not praying over him.' Then he called his slaves, divided them into three portions, drew lots among them, and freed two and re-enslaved four.
