حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ قَالَ «أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِثْلَ السَّحَابِ خِيَارُ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِلَّا نَحْنُ فَسَكَتَ ثُمَّ أَعَادَهَا فَسَكَتَ ثُمَّ أَعَادَهَا فَقَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيَّةً «إِلَّا أَنْتُمْ»

✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the road to Makkah. He said: 'The people of Yemen have come to you like clouds, the best of those on earth.' A man from the Ansar said: 'O Messenger of Allah, except us?' He was silent. Then he repeated it and was silent. Then he repeated it, and he said a quiet word: 'Except you.'
