حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَقَالَ «أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ وَهُمْ خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمِنَّا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيَّةً «إِلَّا أَنْتُمْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head to the sky and said: 'The people of Yemen have come to you like patches of dark night, and they are the best people on earth.' A man who was with him said: 'And from us, O Messenger of Allah?' Then he said a quiet word: 'Except you.'
