حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ أَبُو يَعْلَى التُّوزِيُّ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ وَعَبْدَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِالْخَيْفِ خَيْفِ مِنًى نَضَّرَ اللهُ عَبْدًا سَمِعَ مَقَالَتِي فَحَفِظَها وَوَعَاهَا وَبَلَّغَهَا مَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ لَا فِقْهَ لَهُ وَرَبُّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثٌ لَا يُغِلُّ عَلَيْهِنَّ قَلْبُ مُؤْمِنٍ إِخْلَاصُ الْعَمَلِ لِلَّهِ وَالنَّصِيحَةُ لِأَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَلُزُومُ جَمَاعَتِهِمْ فَإِنَّ دَعْوَتَهُمْ تُحِيطُ مَنْ وَرَاءَهُمْ

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say at al-Khayf—the Khayf of Minā: “May God brighten the face of a servant who hears my words, memorizes them, comprehends them, and conveys them to those who have not heard them. Many a bearer of understanding has no understanding, and many a bearer of understanding conveys it to one more knowledgeable than himself. There are three things upon which the heart of a believer does not harbor resentment: sincerity of action for God, sincere advice to the leaders of the Muslims, and adherence to their community, for their supplication encompasses those behind them.”
