حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِخَيْفِ مِنًى يَقُولُ نَضَّرَ اللهُ عَبْدًا سَمِعَ مَقَالَتِي فَحَفِظَها ثُمَّ أَدَّاهَا إِلَى مَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ لَا فِقْهَ لَهُ وَرَبُّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثٌ لَا يُغِلُّ عَلَيْهِنَّ قَلْبُ مُؤْمِنٍ إِخْلَاصُ الْعَمَلِ لِلَّهِ وَطَاعَةُ ذَوِي الْأَمْرِ وَلُزُومُ الْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّ دَعْوَتَهُمْ تَكُونُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ at the Khayf of Minā saying: “May God brighten the face of a servant who hears my words, memorizes them, then conveys them to those who have not heard them. Many a bearer of understanding has no understanding, and many a bearer of understanding conveys it to one more knowledgeable than himself. There are three things upon which the heart of a believer does not harbor resentment: sincerity of action for God, obedience to those in authority, and adherence to the community, for their supplication will be from behind them.”
