حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ ثنا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا أَبُو عُبَادَةَ الزُّرَقِيُّ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْجُحْفَةِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ «أَلَيْسَ تَشْهَدُونَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ وَأَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ جَاءَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ؟» قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَأَبْشِرُوا فَإِنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ طَرَفُهُ بِيَدِ اللهِ وَطَرَفُهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ فَتَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ وَلَا تُهْلَكُوا بَعْدَهُ أَبَدًا»

✧ We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ at al-Juḥfah. He came out to us and said: “Do you not bear witness that there is no god but God, and that I am the Messenger of God, and that the Qurʾān has come from God?” We said, “Yes.” He said: “Then rejoice, for this Qurʾān has one end in God’s hand and the other in your hands. Hold fast to it, and you will never perish after it, ever.”
