حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ لِي أَسْمَاءً أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَأَحْمَدُ وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يَمْحُو اللهُ بِيَ الْكُفَّارَ وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمِي وَأَنَا الْعَاقِبُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “I have names: I am Muhammad and Ahmad, I am al-Māḥī, the one by whom God effaces the disbelievers, I am al-Ḥāshir, the one at whose feet people will be gathered, and I am al-ʿĀqib.”
