حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْحَدَّادُ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالُوا ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الرُّؤْيَا ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنْهَا تَهَاوِيلٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لِيَحْزُنَ ابْنُ آدَمَ وَمِنْهَا مَا يُهِمُّ بِهِ الرَّجُلُ فِي يَقَظَتِهِ فَرَآهُ فِي مَنَامِهِ وَمِنْهَا جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «أَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: “Dreams are of three kinds: among them are terrifying things from Satan to sadden the son of Adam; among them are what a man is concerned with in his waking state and sees in his sleep; and among them is one part of forty-six parts of prophethood.” I said to him: Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: “I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”
