حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ أَنَّ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ كَانَ يَؤُمُّ قَوْمَهُ وَهُوَ أَعْمَى
وَأَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا تَكُونُ الظُّلْمَةُ وَالْمَطَرُ وَالسَّيْلُ وَأَنَا رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرُ الْبَصَرِ فَصَلِّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فِي بَيْتِي مَكَانًا أَتَّخِذُهُ مُصَلًّى فَجَاءَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَيْنَ تُحِبُّ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ بِكُمْ؟» فَأَشَارَ لَهُ إِلَى نَاحِيَةٍ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ فَصَلَّى فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
Translation

✧ And he said: “O Messenger of Allah, there is darkness, rain, and flood, and I am a man with weak eyesight. So pray, O Messenger of Allah, in my house in a place I will take as a prayer place.” So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to him and said: “Where would you like me to pray for you?” He pointed to a corner of the house, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed there.
