حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ ثنا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ
عَنْ عَائِذِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَكَانَ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ وَقَالَ نُفِسَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فَرَأَتِ الطُّهْرَ بَعْدَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا فَاغْتَسَلَتْ ثُمَّ جَاءَتْ لَتَدْخُلَ مَعَهُ فِي كَافِهِ فَوَجَدَ مَسَّهَا فَقَالَ «مَنْ هَذِهِ؟» قَالَتْ فُلَانَةُ قَالَ «مَا بَالُكِ؟» قَالَتْ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الطُّهْرَ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ فَضَرَبَهَا بِرِجْلِهِ فَأَقَامَهَا عَنْ فِرَاشِهِ وَقَالَ «لَا تُغْوِينِي عَنْ دِينِي حَتَّى يَمْضِيَ أَرْبَعُونَ يَوْمًا»

✧ From ʿAʾidh b. ʿAmr, who was among those who gave the pledge to the Messenger of God ﷺ under the tree, and he said: His wife gave birth and saw purity after twenty days, so she performed ghusl, then came to enter with him in his blanket, and he felt her touch and said, "Who is this?" She said, "So-and-so." He said, "What is the matter with you?" She said, "I saw purity, so I performed ghusl." He struck her with his foot and made her get up from his bed, and said, "Do not lead me astray from my religion until forty days have passed."
