حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
أُتِيَ بِالنُّعَيْمَانِ أَوِ ابْنِ النُّعَيْمَانِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ شَارِبًا «فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْبَيْتِ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوهُ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ ضَرَبَهُ فَضَرَبْنَاهُ بِالنِّعَالِ وَالْجَرِيدِ»
Translation

✧ Al-Nuʿayman, or the son of al-Nuʿayman, was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a drinker. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded those in the house to beat him. I was among those who beat him, and we beat him with sandals and palm branches.
