حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السَّيْلَحِينِيُّ ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي ثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَجِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ أَصْحَابَهُ فَقَالَ «مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَانَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ كَهَيْئَةِ يَوْمَ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ» فَقُلْتُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَزَقَنِي أَسْمَعُ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ in the campaign of Tabūk. I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was talking to his companions, and he said, “Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then prays two rakʿas, his sins fall away like the day his mother gave birth to him.” So I said, “Praise be to God who granted me to hear this from the Messenger of God ﷺ.”
