✧ A man from those before you commanded that when he died, his corpse be burned, then ground, then raised. When there was a violent wind, it would be scattered in it. Then he was gathered to his Lord, and He said: 'Woe to you! What prompted you to do this?' He said: 'My Lord, there was no servant more daring against You than I, nor more disobedient to You than I, so I hoped that I might escape.' So He forgave him. Abu Mas'ud said: Thus I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
