حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ ضَمْعَجٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللهِ فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَقْدَمُهُمْ سِنًّا وَلَا يُؤَمَّنَّ رَجُلٌ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ وَلَا تَقْعُدْ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ إلَّا أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَكَ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "The one who should lead a people in prayer is the best reciter of the Book of God among them; if they are equal in recitation, then the eldest of them. No man should lead in the domain of another man's authority, and do not sit on his place of honor in his house unless he gives you permission."
