حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أُنَاسٌ إِنَّمَا انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَصَلُّوا»

✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. Some people said, “The sun eclipsed only because of the death of Ibrahim ﷺ.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone, but they are two signs among the signs of God. So when you see them, pray.”
