حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَوَافَقَ ذَلِكَ مَوْتَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنْ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَصَلُّوا»

✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ, and that coincided with the death of Ibrahim. He said, “The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone, but when you see them, pray.”
