حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْحَدَّادُ ثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَأَبُو مَرْوَانَ زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْغَسَّانِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَقُلْتُ حَدِيثًا حَدَّثَنِي عَنْكَ عَلْقَمَةُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ {آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ}

✧ I met Abu Masʿud while he was circumambulating the House, and I said: "A hadith that ʿAlqamah narrated to me from you." He said: "Yes. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'The two verses from the end of Surah al-Baqarah, whoever recites them in a night, they will suffice him: {The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord}.'"
