حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْباعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْجُعْفِيُّ ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِهَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ {آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ} إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ فَأَتَيْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Abū al-Zinbāʿ Rawḥ b. al-Faraj al-Miṣrī
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Whoever recites these two verses from the end of Surah al-Baqarah in a night, they will suffice him: {The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord} to the end of the surah." ʿAbd al-Rahman b. Yazid said: "So I came to Abu Masʿud al-Ansari while he was circumambulating and asked him about it, and he narrated this hadith to me from the Messenger of God ﷺ."
