حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثَنَا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ قَالَا ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ حُوسِبَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُخَالِطُ النَّاسَ وَكَانَ مُوسِرًا كَانَ يَأْمُرُ غُلَامَهُ أَنْ يَتَجَاوَزَ عَلَى الْمُعْسِرِ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ فَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ مِنْهُ فَيَتَجَاوَزُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ مِنْهُ أَنْ نُجَاوِزَ عَنْهُ فَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْهُ

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: He said: A man from those before you was brought to account, and no good was found for him except that he used to mix with people and was wealthy. He would order his servant to be lenient with the one in difficulty. Allah ﷻ said: We are more entitled to that than him, so be lenient with him. Abu Bakr b. Abi Shaybah said in his hadith: We are more entitled than him to be lenient with him, so He was lenient with him.
