حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْقُرَظِيِّ قَالَ
كُنْتُ فِيمَنْ حَكَمَ فِيهِ سَعْدٌ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ «يَقْتُلَ مُقَاتِلُهُمْ وَتُسْبَى ذَرَارِيُّهُمْ» قَالَ فَجِيءَ بِي وَلَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا سَيَقْتُلُنِي قَالَ فَكَشَفَ عَنْ عَانَتِي فَنَظَرُوا إِلَيْهَا فَوَجَدُوهَا لَمْ تَخْرُجْ فَجَعَلُونِي فِي السَّبْيِ

✧ I was among those against whom Saʿd passed judgment. The Messenger of God ﷺ commanded that their fighting men be killed and their women and children be taken captive. He said: I was brought forward, and I thought he would surely have me killed. He said: He uncovered my pubic area and they looked at it, and they found that it had not yet appeared, so they put me among the captives.
