حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصَفَّى ثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُتْبَةَ بْنَ النُّدَّرِ قَالَ
كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا فَقَرَأَ طس حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغ قِصَّةَ مُوسَى ﷺ قَالَ إنَّ مُوسَى أَجَّرَ نَفْسَهُ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ أَو عَشْرًا عَلَى عِفَّةِ فَرْجِهِ وَطَعَامِ بَطْنِهِ

✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day, and he recited Ṭā-Sīn until he reached the story of Moses ﷺ, then he said: “Moses hired himself out for eight or ten years in exchange for guarding his chastity and food for his stomach.”
