✧ Tell us a hadith you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ was sent with prophethood, and I do not know any of the Arabs who was more hateful or more averse to him than I, until I joined the Romans and became a Christian among them. When I heard about the good character he called people to and the people who had gathered around him, I traveled until I came to him and stood before him while Suhayb, Bilal, and Salman were with him. He said, 'O Adi b. Hatim, submit and you will be safe.' I said, 'Ah! Ah!' So I made my camel kneel, sat down, pressed my knee against his knee, and said, 'O Messenger of God, what is Islam?' He said, 'You believe in God, His angels, His Books, and His Messengers, and you believe in the divine decree, its good and its evil, its sweet and its bitter. O Adi b. Hatim, the Hour will not come until the treasures of Kisra and Caesar are opened. O Adi b. Hatim, the Hour will not come until a woman travels from al-Harrah—and there was no Kufah on that day—and circumambulates this Kaʿbah with no protector. O Adi b. Hatim, the Hour will not come until a money bag goes around seeking someone to accept it, and finds no one, and strikes it against the ground and says, 'Would that you had never existed; would that you were dust.'
