حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَرْقَمِ قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَهُ فِي سَفَرٍ وَكَانَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ قَالَ لَنَا لِيَؤُمَّكُمْ بَعْضُكُمْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَبِأَحَدِكُمُ الْحَاجَةُ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْحَاجَةِ»

✧ We were with him on a journey, and he used to lead them in prayer. When the prayer time arrived, he said to us, “Let one of you lead you in prayer, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘When the prayer time arrives and one of you has a need, let him begin with the need.’”
