✧ About the Prophet ﷺ's agreement with the Jews of Khaybar, that we have half of the fruit and you have half, and you do the work for us. When their fruit ripened, they came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Our fruit has ripened, so send an assessor to assess between us and you." The Prophet ﷺ sent ʿAbd Allah b. Rawahah. When he went around among their palm trees and looked at them, he said, "By Allah, I do not know any of Allah's creation who fabricates more against Allah and is more hostile to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than you. By Allah, Allah has not created anyone more hateful to me than you. By Allah, that does not cause me to wrong you by the weight of a single grain, as I know it." He said: Then he assessed all of it—what was for them and what was for the Jews—as eighty thousand wasqs. The Jews said, "You have given us a choice." Ibn Rawahah said, "If you wish, give us forty thousand wasqs and depart from us." They looked at one another, then said, "By this the heavens and the earth are upheld, and by this they will overcome you."
