✧ That the Prophet ﷺ, when he conquered Khaybar, stipulated for himself the land and all yellow and white—meaning gold and silver. The people of Khaybar said to him: 'We know the land better.' So he gave it to them on condition that we work it and that we have half of the fruit and you have half. He mentioned that he gave it to them on that basis. When the time came for the date palms to be harvested, he sent Ibn Rawahah to them, and he estimated the crop—the people of Madinah call it khars. He said: 'This much and this much.' They said: 'You have overestimated for us, O Ibn Rawahah.' He said: 'I will take charge of estimating the palms and give you half of what I said.' They said: 'This is the truth, and upon it the heavens and the earth stand. We accept to take what you said.'
