حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ بِلَالِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ عَنْ أُمَّهِ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ «رَأَيْتُهَا فَأُنْسِيتُهَا فَتَحَرَّهَا فِي النِّصْفِ الْآخِرِ» ثُمَّ عَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ «فِي ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ يَمْضِي مِنَ الشَّهْرِ» قَالَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ فَأَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمِّي أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أُنَيْسٍ كَانَ يُحْيِي لَيْلَةَ سِتَّ عَشْرَةَ إِلَى لَيْلَةِ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ

✧ That he asked the Messenger of God ﷺ about the Night of Decree. He said: "I saw it and then was made to forget it, so seek it in the latter half." Then he returned and asked him, and he said: "In the twenty-third that passes of the month." Abd al-Aziz said: My mother told me that Abdullah b. Unays used to keep alive the night of the sixteenth until the night of the twenty-third.
