حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النُّمَيْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مِسْمَارٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِضَمْرَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ مَا
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِأَبِيكَ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ؟ قَالَ كَانَ أَبِي صَاحِبَ بَادِيَةٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مُرْنِي بِلَيْلَةٍ أَنْزِلُ فِيهَا قَالَ «انْزِلْ لَيْلَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ» قَالَ فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ «اطْلُبْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to your father regarding the Night of Decree? He said: My father was a man of the desert, so he said, “O Messenger of Allah, command me with a night in which I may come down.” He said, “Come down on the night of the twenty-third.” He said: When he turned away, he said, “Seek it in the last ten days.”
