حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَحْرٍ الْهُجَيْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ ظَاهِرًا أَوْ نَظَرًا أُعْطِيَ شَجَرَةً فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَوْ أَنَّ غُرَابًا فَرَّخَ تَحْتَ وَرَقَةٍ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ الْفَرْخَ الْهَرَمُ فَنَهَضَ لَأَدْرَكَهُ الْهَرَمُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقْطَعَ تِلْكَ الْوَرَقَةَ»

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “Whoever recites the Qur’an by heart or looking at it will be given a tree in Paradise; if a crow were to hatch its young under one of its leaves, and then that young crow reached old age and tried to fly, old age would overtake it before it could cut through that leaf.”
