حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ قَالَ
ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ قَعْنَبٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولِ اللهِ أَلَا تُكَنِّينِي؟ فَقَالَ «اكْتَنِي بِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ» فَكَانَتْ تُكَنَّى أُمَّ عَبْدِ اللهِ

✧ ʿAbd Allah b. Maslamah al-Qaʿnabi narrated to us, saying: My father Maslamah b. Qaʿnab narrated to me from Hisham b. ʿUrwah from ʿAbbad b. Hamzah b. ʿAbd Allah b. al-Zubayr that ʿAʾishah said, 'O Messenger of God, will you not give me a kunyah?' He said, 'Take the kunyah of ʿAbd Allah b. al-Zubayr.' So she was called Umm ʿAbd Allah.
