حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ التُّرْكِيُّ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبِرَكِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ السَّمَّاكُ ثنا عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
اجْتَمَعَ عِيدَانِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمُ فِطْرٍ وَجُمْعَهٌ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْعِيدِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ خَيْرًا وَأَجْرًا وَإِنَّا مُجْمِعُونَ فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُجْمِعَ مَعَنَا فَلْيُجْمِعْ وَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَلْيَرْجِعْ»

✧ Two festivals coincided during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: the day of Fitr and a Friday. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in the Eid prayer, then turned to face them and said: “O people, you have attained good and reward. We shall hold the Friday prayer, so whoever wishes to attend the Friday prayer with us let him attend, and whoever wishes to return to his family let him return.”
