حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَرَّاءُ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ فُرَافِصَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
لَوْ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا مَرَّةً وَمَرَّةً وَمَرَّةً عَدَّ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ لَمَّا حَدَّثْتُ بِهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ ثَلَاثٌ عَلَى كُثْبَانِ الْمِسْكِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا يَهُولُهُمُ الْحُزْنُ وَلَا يَفْزَعُونَ حِينَ يَفْزَعُ النَّاسُ رَجُلٌ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ فَأَقَامَ بِهِ يَطْلُبُ بِهِ وَجْهَ اللهِ وَمَا عِنْدَهُ وَرَجُلٌ نَادَى فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ يَطْلُبُ بِهِ وَجْهَ اللهِ وَمَا عِنْدَهُ وَمَمْلُوكٌ لَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ رِقُّ الدُّنْيَا مِنْ طَاعَةِ رَبِّهِ

✧ If I had not heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not once, not twice, not three times” — he counted seven times — “I would not have narrated it. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Three will be on mounds of musk on the Day of Resurrection: grief will not terrify them, nor will they be frightened when people are frightened: a man who learned the Qur’an and stood with it, seeking thereby the Face of Allah and what is with Him; a man who called out every day and night five prayers, seeking thereby the Face of Allah and what is with Him; and a slave whom the bondage of this world did not prevent from obeying his Lord.
