حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ الْوَشَّاءُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْأَفْطَسِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُؤَذِّنُ الْمُحْتَسِبُ كَالشَّهِيدِ يَتَشَخَّطُ فِي دَمِهِ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنْ أَذَانِهِ وَيَشْهَدُ لَهُ كُلُّ رَطْبٍ وَيَابِسٍ وَإِذَا مَاتَ لَمْ يُدَوَّدْ فِي قَبْرِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “The muʾadhdhin who seeks God’s reward is like a martyr writhing in his blood until he finishes his call to prayer, and every moist and dry thing bears witness for him. And when he dies, worms do not consume him in his grave.”
