حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ضَرَبَ صَدْرَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ بِيَدِهِ حِينَ أَسْلَمَ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ أَخْرِجْ مَا فِي صَدْرِهِ مِنْ غِلٍّ وَأَبْدِلْهُ إِيمَانًا» يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثًا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ struck the chest of ʿUmar b. al-Khattab with his hand three times when he accepted Islam, saying: "O Allah, remove what is in his chest of rancor and replace it with faith," saying that three times.
