حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا إِدْرِيسُ الْأَوْدِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ حَضَرْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَلَمَّا وَضَعَهَا فِي اللَّحْدِ قَالَ
«بِسْمِ اللهِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ فَلَمَّا أَخَذَ فِي اللَّبِنِ عَلَى اللَّحْدِ» قَالَ «اللهُمَّ أَجِرْهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ» فَلَمَّا سَوَّوُا الْكَثِيبَ عَلَيْهَا فَقَامَ إِلَى جَانِبِ الْقَبْرِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ جَافِ الْأَرْضَ عَنْ جَنْبَيْهَا وَصَعِّدْ رُوحَهَا وَلَقِّهَا مِنْكَ رِضْوَانًا» فَقُلْتُ أَشْيَاءُ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَمْ أَشْيَاءُ قُلْتَ مِنْ رَأْيِكَ؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي إِذًا لَقَادِرٌ عَلَى الْقَوْلِ بَلْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

✧ “In the name of Allah, and in the path of Allah, and upon the religion of the Messenger of Allah.” Then when he began placing the bricks upon the laḥd, he said: “O Allah, protect her from Satan and from the torment of the grave.” Then when they leveled the mound over her, he stood beside the grave and said: “O Allah, make the earth withdraw from her sides, raise her soul, and grant her Your pleasure.” I said: “Are these things you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, or things you said from your own opinion?” He said: “If I were capable of saying it, rather I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”
