حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكِ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا} يَقُولُ «لَا يُصَلِّي مُرَابِيًا لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَدَعُهَا مَخَافَةَ النَّاسِ»

✧ From Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying {And do not recite your prayer loudly nor in a whisper}: he said, “He does not pray ostentatiously for the people, nor does he abandon it out of fear of the people.”
