حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الصَّيْقَلِ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ بَيَّاعِ الْأَنْمَاطِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ تَمِيمِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ أَوِ ابْنِ تَمَّامِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ تَأْتُونِي قُلْحًا اسْتَاكُوا فَلَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ كَمَا فُرِضَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلَاةُ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Why do I see you coming to me with yellow teeth? Use the siwāk. Were it not that I would make things difficult for my community, I would have made the siwāk obligatory upon them just as prayer has been made obligatory upon them.”
