حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو جَمْرَةَ نَصْرُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
كَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلُوا الْكِتَابَ وَرَجَعُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَخْبَرُوهُ فَقَالَ «أَمَا إِنِّي لَوْ بَعَثْتُ بِهِ إِلَى قَوْمٍ بِشَطِّ عُمَانَ مِنْ أَزْدِ شَنُوءَةَ وَأَسْلَمَ لَقَبِلُوهُ» ثُمَّ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْجُلَنْدَى يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَبِلَهُ وَأَسْلَمَ وَبَعَثَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَقَدِمَتْ وَقَدْ قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهَدِيَّةَ مَوْرِثًا فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَ فَاطِمَةَ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to a clan of the Arabs calling them to Islam, but they did not accept the letter and returned to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him. He said: “Indeed, if I had sent it to a people on the shore of Oman from the Azd Shanu’ah, and they submitted, they would have accepted it.” Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to al-Julanda calling him to Islam, and he accepted it and submitted, and he sent a gift to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It arrived after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had passed away, so Abu Bakr made the gift an inheritance and divided it between Fatimah and the people.
