حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُدَيْرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَخْطُبُ عَشِيَّةً فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ
«لَا أُمَّ لَكَ تُعْلِمُنَا بِوَقْتِهَا كُنَّا نَجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُمَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»
Translation

✧ May you be bereft of your mother! You are teaching us about its time? We used to combine the two prayers during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ.
