حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَا ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَوْهَبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا السُّنَّةُ فِي رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُفْرِ يُسْلِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ؟ قَالَ «هُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِمَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتِهِ»

✧ I said, "O Messenger of God, what is the Sunnah regarding a man from the people of disbelief who accepts Islam at the hands of a man from the Muslims?" He said, "He is the closest of the people to his living and his dying."
